The Foundation works as a bridge between communities and the public, which aims to foster public participation through direct aid donations and participation in community projects. It is evident that the privileged within our society often have numerous household items, which they no longer require; we seek to facilitate donations in order for our society to recognize the practical and philanthropic purposes of giving. It is our hope that we can encourage social activism particularly in the youth. Moreover we seek to provide a forum for the public to become involved in community projects.

Since the group’s inception, we have collected items from donors that were stored at the residence of Mrs Janet Kahama in Oysterbay. On October 1st 2010, we participated in the “Day of the Elderly” which took place in Bagamoyo. During the event, we distributed collected items to 87 elderly men and women. Through our participation we became aware of efforts to empower the elderly, specifically individuals who are also responsible for numerous grandchildren and who are struggling to live independently.
